What's right with this Board. The Members

Last week I advertised that I was willing to trade some T206's for 50's & 60's football. I received a PM last week on CU from Baseballfan expressing interest in trading a few 55 AA's for a T206. He lives in PA and Jennings grew up 10 miles down the road. Fred has a complete set of 55 AA's and some doubles to trade. He sent… -

Re: 1944-P Lincoln Cent! Would someone here please tell me what I'm missing about this worthless coin?

When I found so many different listings for this coin, with so many crazy prices, and then when I checked my US coin guides I thought it possible that my information source had missed something on this coin, so to double check and for conversation I opened up a forum discussion about it. I scanned the below image from my… -
Re: Vintage Pack Help
Trust me I went through 20 different versions in my head and believe it or not this seemed the best way while keeping the cost (reletively) low. The best way would be as LSU said, do a whole box and wax packs are sent out to everyone but then you only get the taste of 1 years issue, and are paying 4 times the amount for… -
Re: Why is feedback unimportant to some sellers?
I disagree with the blanket statement that buyer feedback does not matter. There are plenty of cases where a seller can leave “ negative” buyer feedback. The feedback itself may be positive but the wording can explain a lot about a bad buyer. In addition, and more importantly I have noticed a pattern of very low feedback… -
Re: US Mint Set Values-Shipping Box/Presentation Box
<< <i>The state of collecting in many ways is and always has been quite obsessive and compulsive. Perfection is sought in every way. It makes sense that issues of US Mint coin sets will fetch more upon resale if they are sold in the presentation boxes in which they were originally sold by the US Mint. But, I am told that… -
Re: How scarce are high-grade raw cards becoming?

I think you're seeing a shortage of raw NM high dollar cards on ebay because the smart dollars aren't buying them, not because they don't exist. Why would I put a raw NM-MT 1958 Mantle on ebay raw when I know I can get much more for it if it truly is graded nm-mt? Because of the many scammers and deceptive people out there… -
Re: Shop at home TV
<< <i> You dont have to break the law to be a crook. Crooks can be any kind of dishonest person who take advantage of others who are not in the know and are at a great disadvantage. These guys KNOW what they are doing. They KNOW the kind of uneducated people who watch these shows and buy their product. They ARE crooks in… -
Re: can someone identify the date range for this PCGS holder? (Very important)
<< <i>Picture this scenario... Some person(s) drop into a major show (FUN, ANA, Long Beach, Baltimore) with a dozen such counterfeit slab & coins. Coins such as the one in the OP or any coin in the area of $1500-$2500 Greysheet Ask. Avoiding the major dealers, heading to smaller guys toward the back. At each of these…
