Re: Where does PCGS get the replacement coins for those sent in for grade review?
I recently submitted 10 2006-W 20th Anniversary Silver Eagles into PCGS for their grade guarantee because my MS coins had milk spots. Apparently, PCGS can almost never remove milk spots off of MS coins so they gave me a pay out per coin. They gave me the option to get the MS69 coins back in an MS67 slab plus a fraction of… -

Re: Acetone and spotting eagles.
I use Koinsolv, which is a brand name solvent containing n-Propyl bromide, 2-Propanol, Dimethoxymethane, 2-Methyl-2-Propanol and 1,2 Epoxybutane. This solvent is not Acetone but I understand that it has similar properties. I usually just swirl the coin in a glass cointaining the liquid and then dip it in a separate glass… -
Re: What does it mean when the same coin gets sold on Teletrade multiple times?

Also, several seem to have been… -

Re: A question for sellers on eBay or BST that don't accept returns.
My few eBay listings say no returns because I don’t want it turning into an approval service. With such low volume (and items I’ve decided don’t have a spot in my collection), it doesn’t make financial sense to offer returns. Now if someone reasonable asks (reasonable meaning they don’t have a history of leaving multiple… -
Re: Any advice on raw coins?
Grading raw coins is really difficult and surprisingly simple at the same time. just turn and twist the coin in the light so you can see every mark. When there are almost no marks it's a Gem. Great advice from everyone here. Compare your coins, look for marks you don't like or that are distracting. I like to put sharp…
