Re: Poll: What can ANACS do?
<< <i>I think making big changes to the slabs was not good. In a way I agree with FC that the old slab was better and I liked it more but maybe changing back would just be another change and they already changed too much and too often. The best thing they could have done would have been kept the old small slab but added… -
Re: Would anyone know this?

Wax packs can be easily resealed and cello as well. Rack packs are usually made. Packs can be searched for hits as well. Many different ways for various hits. Collation patterns- These are present in many 1980's era packs from different manufacturers. These allow the person to know what is most likely inside the pack.… -
Re: New Message Board Policy

*sigh* Yeah, yeah. This is a service provided by PCGS. They have the "right" to run it however they want to. It is not a "right" but a "privilege," etc. I submit, though, that this service is a marketing tool. And an exceptional, admireable and imaginative one, at that. It's been up for a few years now, during most of… -
PSA/BGS Certification # Database for Altered/Trimmed Cards
Please excuse me if this has already been done, but I was wondering if someone had compiled/consolidated a complete list of all known altered/trimmed card certification numbers (modern and vintage, all sports) for both PSA and BGS? Wouldn't it be great to see a sticky posted to the top of the Forum main page for people to… -
TWO THUMBS WAY DOWN TO THE FOLLOWING BOARD MEMBERS!! DMILES89 & CardOholic

CardOholic, not really ripped me off, but he was supposed to send me $83 for a bunch of McFarlane figs I have and guess what NO MONEY IT HAS BEEN AT LEAST 1 1/2 MONTHS!!! DMILES89, ripped me off, although he has been cooperative with me unlike CardOholic, I have not seen my cards from him after sending him a Butler rookie… -
Re: eBay listing removed - after I've already paid!
ebay takes things down to protect the buyer so I'm sure you'll be ok. If the listing was legit, the seller has probably already shipped. You still have all the contact info in paypal so have you tried to contact the seller? As a seller I've had this happen to me when ebay screwed up (shocking!) and took down the listing… -
Re: Anyone ever dealt with rarecards4me on Ebay? Add them to your BBL
<< <i>I am hesitant to sell to people outside of the U.S. because of the potential problems with Paypal. I virtually stopped selling high end ($100+) hockey cards because most of the buyers are from the Great White North. The ironic part is that I have neve had a problem with any international customers. It's just the… -
Re: GOLD AND SILVER WORLD NEWS, ECONOMIC PREDICTIONS
I have been in this business for decades, and I know a pump and dump scam when I see one. Hucksters trying to encourage the peasants to move retirement funds into metals will cause the uninformed to lose those funds. Who's scamming whom? Precious metals aren't really rising (that much). The Treasury and Fed are giving away… -
Re: Anybody ever send or receive from USPS C.O.D.
Ok, so does anyone have experience with this??? I sold one coin to someone on eBay that has over 20,000 feedback (seems legit)... They paid for the coin via PayPal ($600) and before shipping they asked if I had any similar to sell. I did and we came to a price for 3 more coins for an additional $1650. I figured just send… -
Re: Buyer claims he never received a card that I sent
The 3/4" width makes sure the package gets routed as a spur or parcel instead of as an envelope. If it is seen as an envelope it can be machined and sorted into DPS (delivery point sequenced) mail. DPS mail is handed to the carrier in a tray and it is not looked at until we get to the mailbox. Parcels are treated…
