Re: WW BIllman - message for you from Teetelli

Nick: Thanks for that information. And, you sending the coin to PCGS for their final determination is a perfect solution to the situation. All of my questions have been answered. At the risk of "meddling", can I ask you Nick to consider something? There isn't a week that goes by around here where good members of this forum… -
Rumor Regarding the Kennedy Gold Commem at the Chicago ANA - Busing in Senior Citizens to Get Vouche
Has anyone else heard this rumor? Rumor has it that at least one dealer is bringing in two busloads of senior citizens to stand in line for hours to get a voucher for the two gold Kennedy commemorative coins. I also heard that a few other dealers were taking similar measures. This begs the question of what chaos will ensue… -
New Feebay Change
"Keeping eBay your trusted source for great deals and truly unique finds is important to all of us. Toward this end, we're making an important change: Soon we will no longer display the complete user IDs of people bidding on any auction-style listing. Instead, we'll use asterisks such as x***y to protect our members'… -
Re: 1975 Topps resealed rack pack with Scan
Multiple roller marks, rips between cells, cards out of sequence. When I tried to sell it on Ebay 10 years ago they bounced the ad because some people reported the ad. I dont think they would do that today if I sell it as resealed. I think someone opened the rack and rearranged the cards putting the best cards in each cell… -
Re: Ebay/ super fast grading services / scam?
I truly dislike partial refunds. Thanks for all the details given on the transaction(s) for our impartial opinions. eBay has a program to report buyers who are basically trying to scrue sellers for partial refunds with what amounts to feedback extortion. I would use it. Did the buyer already open a SNAD case? or just ask… -
Re: to the idiot that bought this coin ....
I doubt that the winning bidder with >6,000 feed backs didn't know this was a fake. I would suspect that everyone that bid in this auction was running the coin up to keep the newbies away from it. No low feedback bidders. 2 bidders took it above $155, which was still in range for newbies to possibly take a risk. But at… -
Re: To all those who hit 10 years this January and Now - 20,000 Posts

Im approaching 10 years myself and I can certainly say its always been fun logging on here, even still after being out of the card game for several years now. Needless to say I have had many laughs and positive chats with so many different people here over the years, I still remember some of the lunatics, scammers and your… -
Re: Why ?

<< <i> << <i>question for Russ, then. How many of your sales have ended with returns? >> Less than 10. << <i>just knowing how many sales you had doesn't really give me insight into the frequency of fraudulent returns... >> Of course it does. The more sales one generates, the more likely it becomes that one would encounter… -
Re: Question about a buy it now with best offer.
<< <i>You never can tell. I offered someone $120 on a card that has sold regularly for $105 just because I wanted it at that moment and it was the only one up. I received a long nasty replay and a declined offer. The seller sighted that the card "BOOKS" for over $300.00 and why would I send in such a low ball offer. I… -
Re: Clip Lincoln cents fakes, I am thinking.

Someone sent out the Clip Signal™ and pointed me to this thread. Gee, thanks for the kind words, guys. The two straight clipped zinc cents in the first link are almost certainly not genuine. In my experience real zinc cent clips will show moderate to strong Blakesley effect regardless of the size of the clip, and on these…
