Re: This is a little unusual....even for Ebay
113% of all emails that "appear" to come from eBay or paypal are scams. Everyone who has ever posted here about "is this email real", the answer is ALWAYS no. If you actually suspect the email is real, open your browser directly, type in www.ebay.com, and click on MyEbay and look for messages. This is for any scammers… -
Re: Is the demand starting to cool ?
I had Topps cards from the 1960's, 1970's, and very early 1980's. When the pandemic started I was laid off for 5 weeks before starting the "Work from Home" routine. In those 5 weeks dug thru the closest to see what was stored away to determine if I could thru anything out. Found my cards and started going thru them,… -

Dear Paypal Customer, This is your official notification from Paypal that the service(s) listed below will be deactivated and deleted if not renewed immediately. Re: New counterfeit loophole, any way to shut this down?
. more hurdles for new accounts. someone at ebay need do a very basic analysis (actuary?). the cost of frauds all around vs the potential lost fees/business from new members with many more new account hurdles which at this point (since most anyone that will sign up, has already) are mostly just scammers anyway. it is like… -

Re: Logan Paul's 3.5 MM Pokemon case updates
It's not risky, because as we've seen time and time again in this hobby no one really cares. Not going to list all of the hobby related businesses that have errors / business practices far bigger then this and are thriving, but suffice to say there are many. This hobby at the high end is a POP TART measuring contest and… -
Re: What is the future trajectory for unopened baseball product from 1981 to 1987?
That's already happened with older wax packs and boxes. With the newer stuff we're still talking cases, but that will change. 1987 Topps has really jumped in the last few months. I ended my rip of wax boxes because the cards were garbage. Much better to hold onto the box than to rip it. Agree. It seems pretty obvious the… -
Re: Ebay Nuked Acct
<< <i>Amazing Yahoo or Google have not taken advantage of all the hatred for eBay to run a competing auction site. >> The fact that they haven't should tell you that the barrier to entry is large and, even once that is broached, the issues in keeping it going in a successful way is no easy task. Can't please everyone.… -
Re: Cashiers Check
<< <i>Remember this one, anybody? The victim was my cousin. >> Wow. No I hadn't seen that one. I wonder if it would have been different if he had approached it as I did, told the story that he received it from a buyer and wanted to verify it was real before he cashed it, if things would have been different. Instead he… -
Re: Failure to Bump
I agree with hammered. Grading involves a somewhat subjective decision (using so-called objective parameters) by a human being. Your odds are much better by cracking and submitting. Once the grader sees a previous grade, they are biased. No way around it. They may give you the half point but very rarely will give you the…
