A Visit to Saint Gaudens National Historic Site-Bazillions of Images

I live close enough to the Saint Gaudens National Historic Site (SGNHS) such that my wife and I have visited more than a dozen times over the years and we have brought our daughters there several times, too. This past weekend we did a few family things including a visit to Santa’s Village, which followed a tour of the… -
Re: A Warning for dealing with forum member planonit (Hunter Smith)***4/13 no positive update
It's not huge except for those suffering the loss until it gets paid off. Tulving was a big shot and had trust employing people of integrity like Miles Standish back in their haydays, but later failed. I have had debtors claim I will get my money back if only I wait around a month as long as I call off the dogs. Excuses… -
Re: Craziest sports stats you've ever seen?
<< <i> << <i>This clip will make your heart skip a beat. Secretariat. >> Absolutely amazing, a 2:24 1 1/2 mile world record that still stands today. No horse has ever even broken 2:25. Classic call by Chic Anderson, too. >> I believe Secretariat was voted the only non-human as Athlete of the Year in 1973. Or Sports… -
Re: Red Sox!!!
Beckett is puzzling. You watch him blow away guys with 97 mile an hour heat, and than give up a 400 foot shot. It cannot be all about his location. I thought his change and breaking ball were pretty decent tonight. He coasted through the first 5 innings and than gave up 7 straight hits in the sixth. Very puzzling. -
FOR SALE: 1957 Topps Mantle - Centered & Focused

Putting one of my Micks up for sale. It is now in an SGC 6 holder. Here it was in its old PSA 5.5 holder. Again, see the below picture, as this card is now in an SGC 6 holder. Price is $775 firm. Finding better print quality/focus and centering in same specimen would be tough. Here is a cell phone shot of the card in its… -
Re: 4th of July Holiday Weekend!
This holiday was always a favorite of mine. The little town I grew up in was known for a major celebration on the 4th... Huge parade, fireworks, free hot dogs and soda given out by the Firemen (small town... they did it each year back then), picnics at the sports field. Lots of firecrackers... Now, they still do the parade… -
Re: Great race in Vegas today

I have Directv and they local Fox station is in a contract fight and Fox has been off the air for at least 6 months. Can’t watch sports any longer if it’s on Fox. So I spent the day in the yard and taking the dog for a walk in a local park. We’ve had an incredibly mild winter in this part of Texas. Sunny and 78 yesterday.… -
Has anyone else been following this - Reggie Bush

SPRING VALLEY, Calif. – In this sprawling hilltop community with a breathtaking view of Sweetwater Lake, it was no secret who lived in the 3,000-square-foot house at the corner of Apple Street and Luther Avenue. That home, residents would tell you, was where Reggie Bush's family lived. That is, until this weekend, when the… -

Re: SF Bay Area Card Shops
Stevens Creek is probably your best bet for decent vintage stock, but it is quite a ways from SF, about 50 miles each way and you've only got a window of about 10am to 3pm when you aren't going to hit any traffic jams on Hwy 101. If you can only hit two near to SF they you should plan on Lefty's and Peninsula Sports Cards.
