Re: how long after you pay and not receive an item do you take course of action? - *update* coins receiv
The last time I shipped a coin the day after a check arrived cost me the coins and a $35 bounced check fee in 2 1/2 weeks. I tell people now I wait for 2 weeks before shipping on a check - if they want it faster get a USPS postal money order or PAYPAL. Even though this was after the '3 day clearing' by federal reserve, the… -
Re: There have been some serious cards posted on this board lately.
Not to brag (but I will). I used to have a stash of well over 2000 1987 topps cards, as well as several UNOPENED wax boxes of the same. Before the throng of PM's to see scans piles in, I lost all of it to some craiglist scammer that met me at a well lit public place where he was going to trade me his great grandads attic… -
Re: I must be losing my mind!

<< <i>You should have priced them through the moon. Then someone would PM you asking for wholesale. >> LOL...ya think? It will be best to break the group and sell seperately. I will begin that process Sunday. Do you think I would try to pull a fast one on anyone? It was a simple deal. Group (that means not individually… -
Re: How much is a 1977 Yankees team auto....
I don't think he's a scammer, I think he knows a little but not a lot. My guess is he's a thrift/antique/flea market kind of a store in Vermont who sells things on consignment and takes the consigner's word for everything. Probably a big guy, heavy smoker, tells people they "can't afford" something all the time. Knows what… -
Re: Scam artist??
Good Day, Cards look good but, what are the chances that your E-bay handle is vintage*cards*rus and you just happen to find these in a storage unit. Yeah right and you didn't look to see if the stars are their, Yeah right again. See his feedback on another Vending Box!! Scammer all the way. 400 plus nice commons is the… -
Re: Where do you buy your Coins from?
<< <i>Online dealers? eBay? Shows? BST? and why? For me, it's really the last three, ebay, shows, and BST.. I never mess with dealers online since they are usually all expensive.. >> I do nicely with BST. The sellers seem to estimate their stuff fairly, sometimes slightly overpriced but there it is and you can make an… -
Re: Ebay's ccw no longer of help
<< <i>Just as one example of eBay new and improved policy, take a look at this listing: http://www.ebay.com/itm/1893-S-morgan-Silver-Dollar-/231247463956 This was reported by many on CU and by EMR's when the listing was active. It was also reported after the listing ended. The seller is a persistent seller of counterfeits… -
Re: My first Paypal Dispute, looking for advice! Update 3.27.13
<< <i> << <i>Is there no option to offer a refund to PP (and credit card) in exchange for the coin back? Seems PP would require the coin returned. >> I think that its the credit card company that issued the chargeback "against" Paypal who then notified the eBay seller. If the credit card holder says that the charge was… -
Re: Blocked Sellers due to not leaving feedback for buyer
<< <i>It happened to me 3 separate times with that particular seller. I paid instantly, I gave him positive feedback and full stars upon receipt of each item and he couldn't give a damn to reciprocate just once. So I'm passed first time, shame on him, now it's in shame-on-me as the saying goes. >> Right or wrong, some… -
Re: could grading companies be a thing of the past ?
I think the higher-end registry guys will learn to try and add a certification number to their registry BEFORE paying, if they haven't done so already. I would think the main value of the certification number isn't seeing whether it matches the card on the psa site, but whether it is claimed in anyone's registry set.…
