Re: Ripken- 2131 Balls- which are real?
The problem is that no matter if there is a sure-fire way to tell, the whole lot of them are tainted, at least in my eyes. It's not as if some random scammer was selling the fakes as legit, but it was from one of the actual umpires from the game. That's about the worst breach of trust for a situation like this. It's the… -
Re: Bulk Unsearched Lincolns
Dennis, I can understand what you are saying, but if you picked out the 50's dates, then they cannot be called un-searched.After all you did search through them in order to pick out the 50's dates. That's false advertising. You could however say that they are unsearched for minor DD's,RPMs and other worthless varieties.I… -
OT- EBAY hacked??
I just read on another site that a scammer began posting seller's credit card info on the Trust an Safety board earlier this morning. Apparently thousands of EBAY members personal info was leaked before Ebay began removing the posts and then finally shutdown the board. I just checked the Trust and Safety board and I… -
It's too bad
the Clemente thread was deleted. Presumably due to the forbidden mention of a certain company's name (?) Don't they have the ability to just delete/edit the offending posts? Why the whole thread? Collectors (like myself) who actually have thousands invested in PSA slabs may actually be concerned about this issue. And PSA… -
Re: BST anywhere - things to do and things to avoid; Red flags and how to ID them. ETC.
I dunno, probably best to use ones own good judgment. If you make a list of "what not to do", it might just provide info to the scammers that take the time to look around a little. I appreciate your effort, and understand what you wish to accomplish, but honest folks will do the right thing. The dishonest will try to… -

Their "12 days of Christmas" song is the BEST Christmas Song Here is your: 1st mistake: Kijiji 2nd mistake: Kijiji purchases should be inspected in person, if it ain't local, forget it 3rd mistake: KSA is a JOKE TPG, They might have given that card anywhere from 7.5 - 9,… -
Re: Ebay buyer harrassing me about sending feedback
I don't see how anyone can call something that is optional being held hostage. Fact is the buyer has all the power in regards to feedback now so it does not matter when or if a seller leaves it at all. I am now on number 3 in 2 weeks where a buyer emails me and tells me I have to send item first due to all the scammers on… -
Re: Question for experienced ebay sellers...
I buy lots of stuff on eBay. A negative from a non-paying buyer never, ever bothers me. Don't worry about the neg. When I see multiple negatives spread out over several months, I avoid bidding as these are the true scammers. They will do many, many good deals and then scam someone and that's their profit. For your… -
Re: 25th Anniversary Sets Set Market on Fire
If values were equal (within a 100) then sell on e-bay.......BUT remember there are always some scammers out there that might tell you they received 4 sets instead of 5.........OR might complain about loose coins...and if you have to take a box back after it has been opened you might end up with a bunch of picked over… -
Re: BIG PROBLEM: With Priority Mail.
<< <i> << <i>Unfortunately, if you are in an ebay transaction, a dishonest buyer can claim INR and will win his case without your proof of delivery (and signature if it's over $250). >> Which is why you don't want to alert the buyer that tracking shows it not delivered. Most buyers don't look at tracking after they receive…
