Re: Bad Bank Check-Fraud- What's Next?-Update!
<< <i>Very frustrating indeed. I find it utterly mind-boggling that the police will go bust a 17 yr. old shoplifter, some kid with a joint, or that they seemingly have all day long to write annoying tickets to tax abiding citizens. But, when it comes to actually going after real white collar fraud, they are as inept as… -
Re: Is this a scam?

Not too often do I get unsolicited contacts from people asking questions as to how I do my lay outs , so I must really suck at that..... but, as recently as today I got an offer in my email from someone who says I can buy the Cheerios Sacagawea that I bid on recently but didn't win , yet this person's ebay i.d. doesn't… -
Re: The latest Paypal scam?

I received 2 paypal scam with my full name on it. The email was in html that's why I know it's a scam because I turned off my html to view my email so every html email I get has no graphics only text format. So when I got those the only thing I saw was my name. I checked the email and turned on the html at the bottom and… -
Re: New Redux - Master List: Your Favorite Coin Websites
Take Me To The List at the Top Of Page 1 I'm convinced it some anti-spam measure. (it was blocking coneca online's site and the fly-in club's site!) but for us seemingly long-timer, non-spammers it can be a anti-post measure. I liken it to a replacement for the "captcha" that we used to do. I'd rather have that back as I… -
Re: Another perspective on the 25th Anniversary set--dealers should up their buy prices, even if they ha
None of these online email spammers that tried putting out want ads for $80, $90, or $100 over retail will likely see anything at those prices. If they want these they will have to pay true market value which is probably at least $600 now and probably by the time it reaches the hands of buyers these could be topping a… -
Re: YA think Bonds will be tested after 754 or 755?
"No hope for a test at this point...it's all HGH around the leagues now." This is exactly right and it's astonishing that Selig never says a word about it. The only hope at this point is that the Federalies issue an indictment in the next few weeks and cuff and stuff Bonds in the slammer, thereby forcing MLB and/or the… -
Re: Heritage: kings of spam

<< <i>and thereby confirmed that the address they were using was good. That confirmation brings a bonus when they sell the address! >> Yep!! Never click on the "unsubscribe", just endure it or use a spam deleter (for all they are worth). Also, if you sign up for a domain name, pay the extra to be sure your owner/contact… -
Why do so many sellers write "L@@K" or "LQQK" in their auction titles?
Do people actually think this is cute or trendy? Personally, I find this type of verbiage to be distasteful, and it just makes the seller look amateurish and unprofessional. Furthermore, I don't see why it's necessary for seller to "yell" at me to look at his or her item(s) -- it's completely unnecessary, if not just plain… -
A Cautionary Tale For Sellers Of Expensive Cards
This letter has appeared in numerous places. I have not seen it here. A few weeks ago, somebody on Craig's List got burned using PayPal on a local pickup; they have been posting this letter on CL - nationwide - nonstop. If you have already seen it, pass it by. /////////////////////////// email this posting to a friend los… -
Re: Is the "Toned Coin Society" still around as I would like to get involved if it is ?
Someone could relaunch the club, using a free hosting site such as Facebook, that takes care of hacking and spammers. Another idea is to have an ongoing thread on this forum (like the Barber mega thread or the UNO thread or the Gold economic news thread). That might enough to jump start it. Add in an online dropbox or a…
