I agree, I think ‘7by8’ is a scammer trying to shake for Plat coins. I did a search and went through his posts. It is quite obvious to me he is playing many here for fools. Welcome.!! I tried a few lots on ebay before and for the most part you get circulated common coins. Worth just around price paid (+/-) if you could actually get full retail on such coins based on book value. Is this OK? Not in my eyes. It is unethical to present an item at a certain grade, and not deliver a coin anywhere close. Is it legal? Sure. As so many have said grading is an opinion. However there are some really great private numismatic groups on Facebook where the moderators are actively keeping scammers and suspicious accounts out of the group, helping to mediate any issues between buyers and sellers, and vetting all the posts to make sure no counterfeits are being sold…
