    One I got just a couple years ago. It was TruViewed with the rest in the submission. All got the 70 grade. One arrived with milkspots. They developed after imaging and slabbing. I couldn't sell it as such. So, I cracked it out and sent it to Daniel Carr to overstrike. So, yeah, they didn't go away that long ago.

    The interesting thing is that you have a rare milkspotted silver eagle 1998 in the OGP. Most milkspotted eagles are slabbed.--Jerry

    Anyone know the reason so many had to be returned from the Big Boys? I understand it was a quality issue - Milkspots,etc.?

    From Florida, to Washington, humidity, temperature etc... NO milkspotting, always kept at home. Have not heard anything yet that attributes milkspotting to any one thing. Cheers, RickO

    It seems they can strike at any time. Sometimes, they can go from someone who never had the milkspots and then someone else gets the SAE (different environment) and a milkspot appears.....

    i see no reason not to grade 70 if it deserves it. its obvious it did not get a 70 WITH milkspots. if you saw a MS70 with milkspots common sense tells you it turned in the holder. just my 2 cents.
