Coinstar finds
Gotta love those coinstar machines. My wife thinks I'm nuts for checking it ,but I can't go in the store without a casual glance at the reject slot. Am I the only one? 1962 D dime,not sure what country the Euro's are from,and 2 Canadian quarters.Not bad for a quick trip for for a gallon of milk. -

I don't know about FDR decreeing melting all the US gold coins. But certainly the majority of the now rarer $20 Saint mint market pieces in the the 1920's and 30's had to be melted since millions were minted and only thousands survive today.
