Re: American Eagle 2018 One Ounce Palladium Proof Coin (18EK) (Sold out...)
You will pay well over 12% or so if you are not a powerseller/top rated seller with a store, including paypal. Then you have shipping and insurance. I don't know why you would go through this pain and agony when some buyers on the BST are offering $2200 with shipping covered! These are wealthy dealers, not scammers, so I… -
Re: A Mom's influence on the life and hobby of a collector

Dog97 has more Darkside coins than he likes to admit to. Many of you don't know that it was Dog's joining the CU Forums that really made them lively and to take off. There are few members who have contributed nearly as much as he has over the years to the forums here. I'm proud to call him my friend ... besides, I've seen… -
Re: PayPal Claim Advice
A difficult situation faced by all sellers who accept paypal or credit cards. You are likely to lose both the coins and the money. A lot of "screw the establishment" books and websites have advocated that scam for years. Even if you accept the coins back, you could be sent a box of rocks...that happened to us 10 years ago… -
Re: Anyone ever have this problem with paypal
"" bought a card for $300 even and sent to Ebay with minimum grade of 8,""" ?? Do you mean you sent it to PSA? If so I assume it was graded and slabbed? And if it was graded and slabbed for a buyer to pull a switcheroo the slab had to be opened. If all the above is true that is how you can prove he is a scammer. Steve… -
Re: If anyone ever sees these cards please let me know! Stolen cards.
He was from Texas but according to him in his last email, was moving to Seatle and that's why there was a shipping delay. Meanwhile, never responded to any other emails. I'm sure this scammer is back on ebay with another name ready to scam some other people. They even suspendid that user before I got to leave him… -
Re: What the HEY?!!!! What would YOU do? UPDATE
Well, he ended the Auction early for this reason: "The seller ended this listing early because the item is no longer available for sale. " The fact is he never had posession of the lot as he never paid for them so the "item" was never available for sale "by him". Obviously the bidding never hit his predetermined minimum so… -
Re: Thanks for warning about EBAY scam - alert to all if you get any email from Ebay asking for account
eBay will never ask for your password, personal and financial information in an e-mail ... When I get these, I forward them to spoof@ebay.com, look up the sender's real e-mail address from the details section of the e-mail and also notify their ISP. It just take a few seconds ... and then I send the scammer an e-mail to… -
Re: Bad dealers.
Ebay, just like the world at large, is full of scammers and jerks. But why do people feel like they need to be the world's policemen? Just chuckle, move on, and let it go. None of us is going to change the world by policing ebay. Besides, ebay is a rich corporation, and I'm not going to give them free professional… -
My Humble Opinion Regarding The New PCGS Forum ...
... I am definitely not slighting any particular group of individuals, but it sure seems more friendly and civil here since the changing of the guard. I know that it has only been a few days, but that is my impression so far. Coins are still being discussed, ebay scammers are still being outed, "be your own TPG" slabs are… -
Commit To A Deal, Keep It
I'm old school and expect people to live up to their obligations. If you don't keep your word, you've no place on these boards. Misinterpretation of a deal is one thing or if a meeting of the minds is not reached but I'm seeing more and more people backing out of deals for no valid reason other than a rising or falling…
