Re: Please comment on this feedback.------I've responded to their feedback.
Slow service is annoying but at least you got the coin and liked it. Increasingly, my real concern on eBay is to avoid the scammers, one of whom in Montreal, recently got me on a US modern gold commem. As a result of what I have learned from this bad-deal (non-delivery) I will no longer bid on any auctions outside the US. -
Re: Your opinion please - a general idea for coin charity

Not sure who @ColonelJessup is calling a newbie.. I'm just back after a long hiatus. And more to the point... "We are a largely anonymous bunch and you are asking everyone to honor their internet word, which is essentially equivalent to a flashing sign saying "Scammers Welcome"." I hold out hope that those here with a long… -

Re: US Mint finally sent my missing penny
It took about a month. I sent in the form right away and explained how the invoice does not show the item on it. If you look at your invoice online you can clearly see the error occurred when they converted the order into a shippable sale and sent to be filled. It’s an error in process not in packing. It does take them… -
Re: Lucky fellow unrolls an Oregon Mint Morgan....
eBay Seller Valleyforgecoin is a known scammer. He has knowingly sold counterfeit PCGS holders on eBay and elsewhere. Long story short, I bought one and had to get local law enforcement involved to get my money back. He's pretty young so we had to contact his parents who guilted him into paying me back. -Paul -
Re: Dealers ... How often are you offered recently made counterfeits when at shows or in your shop?
I've also noticed lots of counterfeits over the years at country auctions. These people all disclaim knowledge or responsibility, but they always seem to have current generation counterfeits in numbers, so I don't believe they are old fakes from estates. There's a small group of vest-pocket scammers (I think) that seed all… -
Re: Ruth contract -- Dumbest scam I've ever seen
Some of the buyer's former sellers are NARU, so at least he's used to getting scammed. Who knows, maybe he deliberately "buys" fake items to get info on the scammer. As for that Goudey Ruth he bought, it's trimmed but it might at least be a real Goudey. Why anyone would trim a respectable EX or even VG-EX Ruth to send it… -

Re: PCGS, NGC Coin Grading Scam Alert (on CMI gold and silver site)
CMI is welcome to their opinion, and this guy clearly has one. But to write it up in the documentary tone he has makes it clear he is trying to sway the newbies into avoiding that slabbed stuff and just buying beat up bullion coins from him. He's doing just what he accuses the scammers of doin. This article condemns his… -
Re: Papa Tony has a shiny collection
Right on DRG! Only a scumbag would leave a neg after getting a nuetral. I say, fork Papatony and the horse he rode in on! I shy away from any auction using that type of subterfudge (."..not my coins, but old Tony's...) or (" I don't know anything about coins, but I inherited these from my dear old Dad...") . 99% of the…
