Paypal owes you. You followed the rules so you would have been covered by paypal buyer protection so if the scammer had been successful, the victim would have been paypal. That is why paypal fees are as high as they are. The more wise buyers like you help paypal avoid being taken, the lower fees will stay. --Jerry -

. . well done everyone i have bookmarked the ebay report item link having reported dozens of listings, this will come in most handy it is really really sad to see these scammers work 2x as hard for 1/2 as much than if they were to do things honestly and get 2x for 1/2 the work fear is the strangest of all things -

I tend to agree with what njcoincrank has said. I've been very careful not to call mtc3015 a scammer or fraud. One of the most troubling things about any of this (aside from $6,000 sight unseen) might just be some of the OTHER purchases made by the winner of the auction in question. For the readers, as always, never click on links in an email. 98% of phishing scams work that way. Avoiding this one step filters out all those would be scammers. Slow service is annoying but at least you got the coin and liked it. Increasingly, my real concern on eBay is to avoid the scammers, one of whom in Montreal, recently got me on a US modern gold commem. As a result of what I have learned from this bad-deal (non-delivery) I will no longer bid on any auctions outside the US.
