Re: 1984 Donruss Baseball - the unofficial but legal thread
<< <i>I already am starting to miss the "action" so to speak in collecting of this set. I have been thinking of restarting putting together a NM-MT set instead of trying for an all MINT set. Any opinions out there? Arny and Bug, what do you think about this? thanks al. >> Al, I nearly gave up on my quest for this set a… -
Re: 1984 Donruss Baseball - the unofficial but legal thread
since we are always sharing buying/selling/trading experiences we have with other board members here......like our own informal feedback system.....i thought i would share my recent experience buying some 84 donruss cards from a board member...... after making a deal to buy a small lot of cards....i sent the guy $250 cash… -
Re: 1984 Donruss Baseball - the unofficial but legal thread
I did send in some DK's and the no number Stenhouse. The darling card was way off center so I didn't bother sending that one in. My hope is to hopefully get a 9 on the Stenhouse and som eof the DK's....there were three STEELE version and the rest were STEEL. Not sure quite yet which are hard to get cards, haven't been… -
Re: 1984 Donruss Baseball - the unofficial but legal thread
Just curious how many of you would have interest in a rack case?? I may have a line on one. The guy doesn't really wanna sell it, but we maybe able to work something out. I've known the guy for years, he has a small stash of unopened 80s stuff but I didn't know he had 84 donruss stuff untill recently. I don't have the cash… -

Re: 1984 Donruss Baseball - the unofficial but legal thread
<< <i>Sad and interesting is the fact that the '90 Leaf set even throwing out the Thomas and Sosa submissions still has twice as many submissions as the '84 Donruss. >> Not sure why that is sad. You have a modern set, with nearly 700 cards in the Master set, that seems to have a large number of submissions and a bunch of… -
Re: 1984 Donruss Baseball - the unofficial but legal thread
Just to let you guys know, I just put up my Boggs #151 PSA-10 up on ebay yesterday. Arny, maybe you want to upgrade your 9? I still can't believe there are only 19 of these out there. I guess I got really lucky in the packs I opened back in the day... FYI, I'll also be putting up my Mattingly 10 within the next few weeks.… -
Re: 1984 Donruss Baseball - the unofficial but legal thread
Dizzle, those are very nice cards but it would be tough to recoup the fees unless they were all 10s because those aren't low pop cards. For those '84 Donruss peeps....PSA Set Guy has listed a ton of PSA 9s and 10s out there for our set. I was able to pick up one of those elusive last cards for my set! He's even got the… -
Re: 1984 Donruss Baseball - the unofficial but legal thread
Hi guys... OK, I finally decided on the terms of the pop-1 Steve Rogers #219 PSA-10 that I just got back from PSA. I am going to try running a silent auction rather than listing it on ebay. I've been toying with the idea of doing this for certain high-demand cards for a while, but when ebay anounced their new fee structure… -
Re: 1984 Donruss Baseball - the unofficial but legal thread
Wow Jim! Great job on the Rogers....is it available for sale/trade? Also, great job on the Stenhouse and Bell cards as well as that Griffin. For some reason that was a tough one for me to find at one time, but I found three or four (submitted three, I believe) that has shots at 10s. Went from finding none to hittin' the…
