Re: Mail Call - What did you get? Today or something you just want to share? Created Jul 2005
I'm normally quite superstitious about these things, but this is hopefully the last piece of a virtual V145-1 set. I say "virtual" because I'll probably never have the Bert Corbeau card, which was insanely shortprinted by the confectioner that produced the set so that few people would be able to claim a prize for redeeming… -

Funny story about this card (a bit silly, but true!)... I purchased it, thinking it was a card of Earl Averill, the HOF player who played with the Tribe. But it was a card of his son, Earl "Douglas" Averill (Jr.). (I was pretty silly, as I knew Earl Averill, played in a different "era", and considering I was born in… -

I was after the Tittle rookie to display with my autographed 8x10 and mini-helmet. I still need one in at least… -

Ranger 63's thread got me thinking about a quest I need to finish myself. I picked up this pro set album whick was given away at super bowl XXV. 1 per attendee. Well a friend of a friend was going to a wedding rehersal dinner Stephen Baker of the Giants would be attending and there would be no problem having items signed.…
