Personally, I would try to stop falling for scams. If it seems to be too good to be true, then it probably is. Scammers count on greed to blind people to the warning signs of the scam. Every auction I place on eBay I whiteout the cert number. This is good for both preventing scammers but also if the next guy wants to add the card to the registry, then he isn't delayed by someone who just went "cert # shopping" on eBay. After a high rate of non-payments, I adjusted my ebay buyer requirements to protect me. Haven't seen a non-payment since I got rid of the low feedback, 2+ non-payment strike people (set mine for the last 6 months to really weed out the scammers). Recommend you do the same. -

The 1979 set can be found with a mix of types, it is not considered to be a type 2 set unless ALL of the coins in the set are type 2. Some scammers have used that to their advantage calling any set that had at least some type 2 coins in it a type 2 set and then pricing them at the graysheet type 2 set level. -

You should go to the Post Office which you shipped from ASAP and file a mail recall form. Your situation is beginning to look like the work of a scammer at the other end that either used a stolen credit card account number, or that phished in to another person's Paypal account. Hope you didn't ship the item yet. -

Ooohhhh.... what if I'm using a netbook which doesn't have a cup holder? Does that mean I can't take delivery of the merchandise and that I have to drive to Dallas to pick it up? Wouldn't flying there be more cost effective? I really think that Heritage is a bunch of scammers for not listing their cup-holder delivery… -

Who the heck would bid on a card (like the PSA 5 Goudey Ruth) where the scans - *SCANS* mind you, not photos from a digital camera - are out of focus? Seriously. It's basically impossible to scan something and have it be out of focus - unless you manipulate the scan afterward to be out-of-focus. And only a scammer would do… -

Topps marks all their reprints as reprints. The only people who don't are people making FAKE cards that are to be pawned off as real. Even though the guy is going on about how it's a fake the little story about taking it to a card shop and being offered 100 bucks and the guy kept calling is classic card scammer technique. -

I agree Zef some buyers are impossible to please and some are just downright scammers. But what you descibe is exactly what I am trying to avoid, it helps me go back and see when I actually shipped the item. I have been thinking about putting delivery confirmation #'s on feedback as well.
