Re: New BS Paypal Email!!!
Actually, that one (or variations of it) have been floating around for some time. While most of us are savvy enough to catch on to the fact they are scams, a percentage (estimates range from 2-5%) fall for it. When you figure these emails are sent in the tens of thousands, you can see how profitable it is to the scammers,… -
Re: 1993 Finest Box Bust (Again... SNAFU)
Unlike today's boxes that are sealed with adhesive, the Finest box is just shrinkwrapped... so, your concern crossed my mind, but the eBay seller (xgamingx) had lots of 90s unopened for auction with huge positive feedback numbers, so I felt safe in this transaction... but I bet there are some scammers out there selling… -
Re: This has become the off topic forum recently - please put a stop to it....
yes, i agree. we need to stick exclusively to threads about ebay scammers, phishing for paypal & ebay accounts, at vs nt threads, & of course the obligatory major dealers promoting their's & other dealer's coins. oh, & there's not enough whining about getting hosed after stupidly buying coins sight-unseen. Re: Is he serious????
The auctions were finally removed but the seller remains. You know eBay should have NARUed the jerk. If eBay wanted to send a message out to scammers, they would have NARUed this guy and sought prosecution thru the local authorites. The guy acted with intent to commit fraud and grand larcerny but all that eBay did was… -

Re: Whose registry set was this auction scan stolen from?
Reminds me of the way that super-scammer Toniscards used to describe his auctions. I haven't seen Toni lately on ebay although as usual he's got his website in "Italy" loaded with fake scans of cards for sale at one-half the prce the cards would really sell for on ebay. Maybe he switched over to Yahoo. -
Re: PCGS Questionable Color with an MS 66 grade?
Even if those are genuine PCGS labels with the grades, which I doubt, the cert verification page says questionable color and matches the label inside the slab. That is what matters. This seller is a scammer if he is pulling this nonsense about duplicate labels with problem free grades. I don't care how much feedback he… -
Re: Ebay
I agree that there are dealers that not that great, however they go buy the way side soon. On ebay they number more and more scammers. Some only change their ID and continue on. Also some buyers look for fake gold and silver and then go pawn shops. coin shops, flee markets and coin shows trying to sell them as the real… -
Re: yardsellr refunded woohooo Fell for another scam---what would u do?
Personally, I would try to stop falling for scams. If it seems to be too good to be true, then it probably is. Scammers count on greed to blind people to the warning signs of the scam. That's why fakes/reprints are priced high enough to make you think they might be real, but low enough so that you think you're getting a… -
Re: Hypothetical Situation
I think the OP is concerned with an eBay scammer sending an undamaged box that's empty or with a rock inside it rather than the merchandise he paid for. If he opened it in front of a postal employee who witnessed that the box was empty or had a rock inside I would think the postal employee would back up OP's story that he…
