Re: Has anyone been accused of not shipping an item on ebay?
this has happened to me twice selling on ebay. gut feelings go a long way in my book. both of mine i feel were scammers, but both of them, when presented with delievery confirmation numbers relented. Ironically, both did what bryan1315 mentioned, they said they had mistaken it for another shipment etc.. yeah... -

Re: 1856-D $2.5 - Counterfeit ?
FYI, 1856-D is a favorite date of the Asian scammers and many unmarked fakes are around. This could be one of them IMO. I found the obverse pics HERE. If you compare it to the replicas listed elsewhere on the bay it looks pretty similar IMO. The description sounds as if copied from an auction catalog. Call me skeptical at… -
Re: 1971 Topps unopened wax box
I sent the opc guy an e-mail asking if i could pick up in person. No response in 3 days. That would certainly seem to indicate that he is a scammer, as he has answered (and posted) other questions to seller in his listings. No wonder the packs aren't visible. If anyone here is thinking of bidding, save your money!! -
Re: Personalized autograph VS Non-personalized autograph

<< <i>I've always trusted the personalized auto's more than the non personalized. I don't trust anything without real proof. >> That's a very good point! If a scammer wants to fake a graph, he wouldn't have bothered or risk to derive lower value by personalizing. I will look at personalized autograph with added respect now -

Re: What percentage of collectors are "saps"?

It baffles me how someone could bid serious money on any item coin or otherwise without doing some research first. With the Internet help and advice is not at all hard to get. Unfortunately scammers and crooks will be with us forever. Until the dumb saps learn to educate themselves in the real world the games will… -
1916 SLQ. Guy actual believes it.
https://miami.craigslist.org/brw/clt/d/sale-price-1916-standing/6382015197.html Most of the time a post like this is an obvious scammer. Sadly I think this guy is actually just not very bright OR a novice who can't accept he has a fake. I tried to explain this is a fake: and a bad one. He refuses to believe it. Sad.
