"I wonder if we should worry about gold-plated examples?" If there is an opportunity to scam.. scammers will flock... so worry - just be sure you understand weights etc.... and buy coins when you can hold them or from trusted board members. Cheers, RickO -

Ebay is a buyers market for sure. I've sold several times on it before and never had any issues. However, nothing was that expensive. I would never sell gold or anything high value for the reason listed above. There only has to be 1 scammer to put the hurt on you. -

I am going on a shopping spree with my credit card. You better block me. That is the main reason i will not sell coins that cost over a few hundred bucks on ebay. I have been scammed just about every way the scammers can think of. -

I picked up a true rainbow the other day for $56 on eBay. Between the scammers and the photo doctors, toned coins have taken a beating on eBay. I have a 100% toned reverse PCGS MS63 up on eBay as a fixed $250 BIN, and no one is going near it. -

Amazing. This is the 3rd one in as many months I believe. There was also an ebay one which was very good facsimile. Surprising they don't do anything to shut down these sites faster and then prosecute the scammers. Ebay ahas stated it is not worth their time! Too many to go after. Ha! -
