Re: 2015 Coin & Chronicles Set – Harry S. Truman (AX1)
2 dog reverse proofs that weren't worth the mint packaging them and selling them I have 2 70s and a 69 bait going into pcgs I'm not sure how PCGS will handle the "as struck nature" of the medals I'm sending in. They all seem to have some disturbance in the matte appearance in the same place on the reverse. 1 remaining… -
Re: MS versus Proof Grading
Then there’s the factoid that proofs get milk spots and MS get spotty blotchy different look stain like spots. Not saying proofs don’t get some strange spots but MS doesn’t seem to have milk spots. I think an example of mirrored fields versus uncirculated surfaces. 😁 Just up late, thinking about this thread 🥱 -

Re: How many coins have you purchased slabbed, only to have them "turn" in the holder later?
<< <i>Dippy-ee-de-du-da! That's why we have these problems. >> The vast majority of milk spots that emerge on 1950 to 1964 proof coins are because they weren't dipped to stabilize the surfaces and remove contaminants that can later materialize as milk spots. NONE that I've dipped have ever developed spots. Too many that I… -

Re: "HAZING & MILKSPOTS" .... It's amazing how people still don't understand this !!!
I think it partly depends on what spotting you include under the term "milk spots". Not all toning or hazing is necessarily the kind of "milk spot" that have typically been ascribed to contemporary 0.999 fine bullion coins. It is just odd that Harlequin makes such a completely definitive statement - by quoting himself! -… -
Re: 2010 Hockey Pucks are junk
<< <i> << <i> Hey does GW's Cheek on your Yosemite have a spot on it? Most of them do so I'm curious how yours looks. >> I have 2 Yosemite's that have the Cheek Milk Spot. No pics because they are at PCGS. The spots look identical. >> I've observed that spot consistently in the same place on several, including some graded… -
Re: March Of Dimes set.. PCGS,NGC 69s ,lower PCGS 70s $335 - $406

<< <i>I am confused. When has the 69 badge with moderns been expected to remain double what the raw version costs? I have witnessed the history being that 69's are typically a break even point, at best. With costs, sometimes the 70's, too. The 70's have become the only possible "winner" and that becomes dependent on milk… -
Re: ***Post your quantities and order #'s here for the 2009 Lincoln Commemoratives and Lincoln pennies!!

<< <i>MsMorrisine, any milky spots? Did you buy 20 proofs? If so, I am amazed that there are no spots. >> These are from the revrse of the same coin. The yellow arrow is to lint. The large, irregular spot is a milky spot. The circled dots with arrows are dimples. the circled areas without arrows are shiny regions where it… -
Re: Not a big deal but, I still love finding nice Cam/ Dcams in sealed sets......
What the hell are you clowns looking at, there is frost missing 11 o`clock just above the three, missing frost just above the three at 12 oclock, the coin is covered in milk spots obverse with a few more reverse, not to mention the coin is covered in haze not a good sign for a DCAM, or even Cam at that point. The left side…
