Re: Ryan Howard transformation to Dave Kingman thread...
Winpitcher, Don't be sour because you believe in that post season clutch nonsense, as you are bitter because Arod showed you the randomness that is at work, and you have been on a crusade saying he cannot play in the post season(even though he did perform before your crusade, which is puzzling). I don't know how soon… -

Re: What will be the hot item from the US Mint in 2007?
While the FirstHags™ will be relatively low mintages for commemoratives, the after market will be miniscule. You may see a good run-up on hype initially if people hoard them and the mintages are low enough, but in the long run they'll be duds IMO. Especially this years' issues, as the mintages of these will be much higher… -

Re: 1912 - 1914 Canada $5 & $10 Hoard Being Sold!
<< <i> << <i>If they grade MS63 or less for premium I imagine many will be disappointed. If the hand select are MS63 or higher then yes it is a great deal. 7/8 The only coin that is more rare than the Lucy Hayes unc is probably the 1914 $5, the rest will be released in higher numbers than that coin. >> Exactly, I don't… -

Re: Coins Before TPG's...Let's Have Some Historical Perspective!
I started collecting in the mid-late'50's (11-12 years old) by going through the Sunday collection at Mt. Carmel Church in Pittsfield, MA. Good old Fr. Santini would allow us to replace coins we took out at face value. The "worth" of a coin was of no particular significance to a tweleve year old. The only thing that…
