Re: Scam bidders question....
<< <i>I have been hearing about people who have two ebay accounts bidding on their own items to raise the auction total. Just a couple questions......to sign up for an account you have to give name, address, phone numbers, etc....will ebay even allow you to open two accounts with the same personal info? If you bid on your… -
Re: So what do people think of the legitimacy of this toning?
People just refuse to accept that you can't tell AT from NT by looking at them. Tarnish is Tarnish, no matter what caused it. Ick--he used the T word. Yes, toning is just tarnish. On copper perhaps we should call it patina.... So everyone gives their opinion. Opinions are like a lot of other things you can name--everybody… -
Re: How much, if at all, are you discouraged from bidding on EBay items which have minimum opening bids
I dunno. Mark. As a dealer, I'm not about to start my auctions at a low amount with no reserve and let the marketplace decide for me what it's worth. I frequently have $10,000 plus coins for sale, and if I were to do that I'd be out of business in no time! Just before the Long Beach show I tried to sell a PCGS graded VF-25… -
Re: PayPal never ceases to amaze me......
As recently as a few months ago, it didn't matter if you received a dead squirrel instead of your purchased item. As long as the seller used delivery confirmation and could show the tracking number to PayPal, nothing would be done. At least that's the way it worked last spring when I got a handful of 2004 commons instead… -
Re: Question for ebayers...
for eBay, the search of completed items must be words "in the title" will running auctions can also include words in the description you have to be selective on what/how you search for example in the quarter section a search of "1932-D PCGS" will probably be close to what you want, you will get some search spammers like "… -
Re: WTF is wrong with the morons on the Beckett message boards?
I still think the Beckett boards are a great resource for information about cards/boxes/Ebay (the best I've found so far). However, there are some people who like being jacka$$es like DAVID12869, smel1978, duzeswild, etc. that really bring the quality of hobby talk board down. I especially despise the spammers who violate… -
Re: Now Taking Applications for Numismatic Gladiator III
Originally posted by: lordmarcovan I would link up both of the first two but I'm on a mobile device that makes hyperlinking difficult at the moment. But both of the first two "Numismatic Gladiator" threads should be fairly near the top of the world coin forum, if the mods ever got rid of all the spammer attack threads from… -

Re: NGC changes "First Strikes" to "Early Releases" designation
<< <i>Not a him and not Canadian. Just been absent from the boards a few days and that thread didn't show on the first page of messages. At least I got the label correct. It's plural like its predecessor "Early Releases", not "Early Release". Somehow, "Early Releases" sounds like a special release prior to official release… -
