acetone will take the paint off if you get any art bars with milk spots (true milk spots and not toning, but they can be toned, too.) let me know. -

I'd leave it alone. I see what appears to be milk spots. "Conserving" the coin would cause more contrast beween the "milk spot" and the freshly revealed metal. -

@joeykoins... The milk spots on the ASE do not show in your second picture. I assume that is due to angle and lighting. Or, were they not milk spots and you dipped them off??? Cheers, RickO -

RCM claims these are burnished. While I've seen many a silver eagle (and many more maples) with milk spots, I've never seen a burnished silver eagle with milk spots. -

I collected the wildlife series. Most of those coins now have milk spots. I'm done with RCM bullion products until they can fix their milk spot issues. -

If you want to go modern, be careful of the proof silver eagles. Some are not good as they have milk spots. Be careful not to buy a modern silver eagle that has a milk spot on the surface... -
