Re: Opinion on buying from pawnshops?
Pawn shops or antique stores tend to overprice their coins - significantly!! Some will negotiate, most will not. I make one reasonable attempt if I am interested in an item... If stonewalled, I just walk away. No sense in haggling with those who are either uninformed, scammers or some combination. Cheers, RickO -
Re: New Ebay Payments Can you still use Paypal?
No, you won't, because the carrier delivered the item. The buyer (scammer) is a thief. Carriers only pay insurance claims if in fact the item is not delivered and/or signed for (lost). Once ebay forces managed payments, I will just sell directly to buyers I know and trust or consign my items for sale. -

Re: Can you tell me if this Baseball is the real deal?
You should stamp "FAKE" "REPRINT" or "FACSIMILE" on the ball or hole punch / burn it so that it does not fall into the hands of a scammer who will pass it as authentic to a novice collector. Never again will the hobby be the same because your son and dog gave the ball an aged appearance. This has clearly ruined the hobby. -

If it's outside of eBay and a handshake deal, you're on your own. eBay and PayPal are not there to deal with alleged scammers. They're protecting their own interests and their customers' Playing outside of those parameters comes the great… -
Re: Is there any danger in selling your Ebay account?
I believe it's against ebay's rules. But then again, isn't everything. By selling it you are probably just allowing a scammer to do business under a former "good" account. I would imagine that totally stripping and account of personal info and it's Paypal account would be almost impossible. I wouldn't try it.
