One thing about your buying from the "reputable dealer". If the dealer is big enough that trust is implied, then they can get away with telling you a month from now "oops,not available" whereas a small guy on ebay would be branded a scammer...just a thought. -

The value of having a return policy is this: * It provides piece of mind to the buyer that the seller is not a scammer. * It provides a reduction in final fees for a store front seller. Return policy is great for a seller until it gets abused by a tire kicker. Tire kickers should have some skin in the game. -

These days I wouldn't put anything past anyone. Personally, I've never heard of an incident of resealed boxes or packs of 1993 SP but with the value of the Jeter skyrocketing you can bet that all our favorite scammers are working feverishly behind the scenes to figure it out -

Could it be he paid with a stolen cc? I am not really sure but I like to read these threads to stay up to date with all the dif scammers out there. Good luck I don't think you will have any problem getting your money back. -

Gemineye My post was directed specifically to PCGS and NGC. The others are near irrelevent to the grading business or are just out right scammers. If you honestly believe PCGS and NGC have you, the collector, in mind when they make their business decisions then their marketing efforts are paying off. -

LOL... yes, exactly! That's why I figured IF someone WAS looking... I'd point them to a seller that (thankfully) wasn't a scammer. I wasn't expecting to get any smooth edges in the case date that I purchased (especially so late in the game)... but it was certainly a nice BONUS! -

my understanding is it will be like an escrow service for 'high risk' transactions (another way to thwart the scammer sellers) and they will hold funds until buyer has received item so if you plan on making your first sales gold and platinum bullion, you may not be happy -

dont fall for it its a scam just some little scammer trring to get your ebay id and password.... tell me you didnt log onto ebay with the link from that email if so i`d change your ebay password as soon as possible
