BTW: I check ALL payments against the PayPal site. Although it's never happened to me, I imagine that a clever scammer could somehow buy an item off ebay, and then send a phony email PayPal payment to my email, without actually sending any payment to PayPal. -

So the auction gets cancelled and this bozo can still stick you with negative fb? That utterly s***s; eBay cancels completed sales of fakes all the time, and no one gets to leave fb for the scammers. Here, an honest seller stands be shafted. I'm thoroughly p.o.'d -

I've done it with my account, it's kind of nerve wracking waiting for either the negative from the seller or the NARU notice from Ebay. It also feels useless to get rid of 3 scammers just to have 10 more show up in their place. I admit it, I gave up. -

I get this request sometimes and always oblige the buyer. I have never had any trouble. I once sent a package to Italy and it spent almost 30 days in Italian customs. I would be much happier shipping to the US. Everyone on ebay is not a scammer. Trust people. -

You may be right. The people on these boards have great instincts but all the other scammers haven't taken the time to write me, they just move on. I don't know this person from Adam but if he is legit, I can understand his concerns about how he was treated. -

, I agree with you frankhardy - this guy cheats the system, and you get the shafting. How is the guy cheating the system? he paid his dime, and now revises the auction. to compare him with ebay scammers is a stretch IMO. The system allowed for it. people revise auctions all the time. Steve -

bygones will be bygones With that I say Welcome. Mike is right about the best place to look. I only collect football and in almost every instance I've found the best deals on ebay. Of course with ebay you have to watch out for the scammers and bad apples. Good Luck Chuck -

Mostly, I think Its just all supply and demand. Secondly, eBay didn't do enough to fight scammers early on and that has scared alot of people away. On ebay, when it comes to cards and coins, if its not third party graded, you just may be buying a fake. -
