Re: Silver demand
<< <i>Thanks for posting the link. It's kind of weird that they would ask how long it will continue.... the question should be how soon does the entire ecomony collapse? >> The economy reminds me of a huge tree that has just been cut at the base. It starts to fall gradually and slowly, picks up momentum and then crashes to… -
Re: What a month on eEbay!
I've gotten a few great deals this month with some purchases. Sorry to hear you are having bad luck. I learned last summer, not to sell common stuff in the summer. I save that stuff for the fall now. Last Fall, my common stuff did just fine. But, as a buyuer and a seller (some times a seller that is), it all washes out… -
Re: At the risk of getting kicked out of here...

Pretty strong words here. Are you sure you feel this way in the light of day? Indeed sir! I'll ask this.....What did you and all that participate in the realm of numismatics do before the grading companies existed? Yes, I do comprehend the AUTHENTICATION aspect of these "Professionals;" however, what I don't understand is… -
Heads Up, If....
If the 124.9 area in the WLI holds and moves higher most likely we are in the clear and our economy will continue to grow and flourish for some time to come. If the 124.9 does not hold we are going to fall and fall hard surpassing the depths of the 2008 recession depths. Guess where we are? you guessed it, we are at 124.9… -

Ebay "customer service"
Recently as a seller, I received a negative feedback from a total moron who never paid for the card in the first place. It was my first negative ever (533 positives). This jerk for some reason decided to do this to me for no reason. He now has two negatives in 9 feedbacks total. Now I know this is only one negative and I… -

Former GOP fund-raiser and one-time Republican appointee Tom Noe will stand trial on political money-laundering charges just three months before Ohio's most contested statewide elections in more than a decade. U.S. District Judge David Katz set the trial for July 24. Attorneys expect the trial to last five days. Mr. Noe… -
Re: What's the best over all type and make of metal Detector?
Since this is such a frequently-asked question, I addressed it here. It's long and wordy (oh so typical of me), and I do not mention any specific brands, but here you go. WHAT KIND OF DETECTOR SHOULD I BUY? This is probably the number one question I’m asked, which is not surprising, since unfamiliar devices can be… -
Re: Origins of the 1964 "SMS" Coins (Info Now Published in Nov. 2024 The Numismatist)
You are accurate, it is not absolute that seller, per se, constructed ten of those sets; nor did the description echo the lettering on the case. I’m not trying to turn the thread into a whine about an ad. I occupy myself with the use, misuse, and abuse of language in the eBay pages. This is another case where a topic in… -
With the Night Mail
With the Night Mail by Rudyard Kipling From Actions and Reactions - Published in 1909 A Story of 2000 A.D. (Together with extracts from the magazine in which it appeared) A nine o'clock of a gusty winter night I stood on the lower stages of one of the G.P.O. outward mail towers. My purpose was a run to Quebec in "Postal…
