Way to go! I thought someone posted recently that they weren't giving out MS70's on ASEs due to the milkspot problem not being resolved. I guess that was wrong. You got some nice grades. The 69's were expected I guess but a lot of 70's in there!! -

The milkspots, once they occur, are part of the coin itself, not just a toning or irritant that can be dipped… -

Later date 90% Halves and Quarters (or nice Walker Halves for close to melt). They can be had for melt or clost to it, have full or almost full silver weight, easily recognizable, easily traded in big or smaller amounts, and easy to store without risk of damage (think ASE milkspotting, etc). -

spotting after the fact??? Yeah, when I got it originally it had the look of a 68. Now I think it's lost 90% of its value. I know I'm a little biased because I really don't like milkspots, but it's really disappointing...... I hate seeing a beautiful coin get dorked up! -

The last information I have seen, is that milkspots cannot be removed - at least not without further damage. That information is old, and maybe a chemical engineer somewhere has discovered a 'cure'...but certainly I think it would have been big news. A lot of ASE's were 'lost' because of this issue. Yep, I do - I like them raw, and as "gemmy" as I can get them, for a typical raw price (i.e., priced as common stuff by dealers who make no differentiation in price between, say, a truly gemmy '85-P quarter, and the same date, but with a milkspot on it.) -

Do NGC Multiholders have milkspot problems? Mine are staying in Mint capsules until that problem has been tackled. Am I right that they do not develop milk spots if left in the capsule? I remember reading about some 1995W Proof owners that were very upset with now spotted coins in PCGS plastic. -

I have had coins in my safe for over thirty years and have no tarnish, milkspots or other discoloration.... and there is carpet covered plywood inside. This is tangible proof that most who think the method is damaging are tilting at windmills. It will not bother your coins. Oh yeah.. there are also guns and ammunition in…
