Re: Cards You Sold you miss
about 4 years ago I send 2 lots of vintage cards to Beckett for grading. The first lot was 11 cards, 8 of which were Mantles. 4 of the Mantles graded a BVG 8. The nicest one of the bunch was a 63 Topps that I am pretty sure would be a PSA 9. I bought it raw for about $300 and sold it for about $900 so I was happy at the… -
Re: 1861-O Half
Hard to tell from the pics, which is why I would never buy a raw coin like that sight unseen. From a glance , it looks original enough. However, there is a lighter area and an oval spot between star 11 and the forearm that concerns me. Plus, the face, right shoulder, and date all look like they have cleaning lines. But… -
Re: Hardest eBay series to cherrypick in
If you don't hit a BIN, you rarely see them go for under what they're worth. Watch any unattributed '90-CC Tailbar, for example... In general, true, but there are exceptions. Sweating it out and waiting for the auction to end is tortuous to say the least!!! But last April I picked off two 1918/7-D Buffs in auctions in the… -
Just got back from the Alexandria, VA coin club show.. awesome!! (PICS just added)
This has by far been the best show I've been to! Mainly because of one dealer, Rusty Williams, who is the most reasonable dealer I've ever dealt with! Photos will be added soon!! The show opened at 9 am, and I got there about 9:30. They were giving out Alexandria coin club coins that I think were pretty cool. There were… -
Re: *** The Official April 2020 Precious Metals Buy Sell Trade Thread ***

There are no noticeable issues with the coin. However, if a picture is important to you, I can take one for you. $1820 shipped (no fee payment. You can use a few… -

My photographic interpretation of the 2018 Pd. $25 eagle.
All day I was thinking about my Pd. sitting at the UPS warehouse, couldn't wait to race outa work, get it and shoot this bad boy. I'm thankful that I'm fortunate enough to swing this right after property taxes and thankful I was able to obtain one from the Mint. Could be better the reflection was a killer, as you can see.… -
Sigh... this is why I can't buy nice things....
Found a few hard-to-land commons in NM-MT shape for my 70 set, nicely centered with corners that presented quite well in the good-sized scans..... Nice to open the package today and see they all (11 to be exact) were stuffed into TWO CS-I's. Funny how all of them have lower corners that present worse than the pics and… -
1904-S Barber Half in Fine up on the Bay
Just a raw Fine with a nice old look to it. I listed it last night with an insert time of 11 Am today and found that my fears had come true! It listed at the EXACT SAME TIME as Zack's Jewelers hit with about 300 more Barber Halves and mine was buried in the onslaught. I don't know about you all, but I have a bookmark for… -
