They also offer a grade guarantee for coins in NGC holders. If you submit an NGC holdered coin and they agree to conserve it, they will guarantee the current grade. I tried it once, but they said they couldn't improve the coin. (Milkspots on cameo proof) -

Coinhog... all ASE's do not get milkspots... I have slabbed and raw... NONE have developed milk spots. I have no idea why.. however.. I do store them in my gunsafe.. could be the answer. Cheers, RickO -

If they were modern coins I would say vacuum seal to avoid milkspots but since they are old common circ silver, just keep them in an old tin can. No cover so moisture does not get trapped inside. -

I used an acetone rinse on new ASE's when received.... none have ever developed milkspots... now, maybe I am just lucky... but that was my process and the results are great. Cheers, RickO -

PR66 was probably generous but the price is still good. will you crack the case to see if what looks like milkspots will comeoff with acetone, or will you leave it alone?? my hunch is that nothing cane remove the spots without also sacrificing the tone. -

I've basically stopped buying silver maples. Never was into stacking Eagles. IMO the premium just isn't worth it, especially with the ongoing milkspot issues. 10 oz bars and 1 oz bars/rounds have been my staple.
