My we are myopic - where is the thread re: Historic Liberty Nickel Sale
I only clicked through 5 pages, but found it interesting that there wasn't a single active thread about the world shattering sale of the Liberty Nickel for 4.1 million dollars that just occurred. Is this part of the Laura Sperber boycott by wannabe collectors? True, most of us will never be contenders for a coin in that… -
FRAUD ALERT: Ebay's biggest seller of 50's-60's era wax (anderson84352) is a pack counterfeiter. See
About a month ago a new ebayer (anderson84352) from Santa Barbara, Ca. suddenly appeared and began listing large amounts of rare '50'-60's era raw sports wax packs. He was listing packs like '61 fleer basketball, '52 bowman large football & '55 topps baseball. With a quick look at his packs I immediately saw red flags.… -
Re: Is the Mint "over marketing" coins?
<< <i>The mint is overdoing it because numismatists are in search of PERFECTION, not rarity. When condition (high grade) and rarity(Low Population) collide, We get a winner. >> Are numismatists that look for true rarity in high grades really the Mint's primary customers? Somehow I don't think so. But imagine if APEs… -
Re: Ebay Situation - Advice?
<< <i>you two deserve each other >> I am not sure why I would deserve this comment at all. I am in good standing on Ebay and have had great transactions with people on here. I have never ripped anyone off and I was clearly shipped a bad coin. Where on earth do you get off on such a lame comment? Jump in a pond with cement… -
Re: If the NFL is so popular why doesn’t Oregon, Nebraska, Alabama, and Oklahoma have teams ?
While true that college sports are kings in those states the answer is simpler than that. Other NFL teams simply wont allow other teams to come into their market area. Jerry Jones wont allow anything remotely near Dallas and the Chiefs also dont want a team in Oklahoma, the Falcons/Saints/Cowboys/Jags dont want anything in… -
Re: Deleted
I keep all my ASE in original packaging and even the box from the mint. These don’t tone quickly as long as cap is tight and storage is dry. You can also wrap outside of box with foil it keeps toning down on silver. If you think it is a 70 go ahead and grade it. But if you see anything like milk spot or anything else. A 69… -
Re: COMMEMS PEOPLE---COMMEMS !!!!
It seems that we have had 2 major changes that make a Good a bad. New technology and efforts to reduce waste like milk spots & laser design make it near impossible to find odd ball gems. Trends in marketing effect the way Doctor visits happen. Toning on Morgan’s lead to chemical pealing and tissue furnace coins. Does not… -
Re: Is It Possible Tastes Could Change And ...

Im with windy on his SLQ theory...That full head doesnt make much difference to me. Id rather a MS^67 over a ms65fh anyday. As for franklins, Id really like to see the non FBL in high grades take off...But it may not be benificial to me because I dont really collect Mint state issues. Im just a sucker for those blast white… -

My coins have never been out of the original government capsules they are in..Also stored in a safe or deposit box at the bank. They do not look like milk spots I have seen on other coins, but…
