Re: Why doesn't ebay put a stop to these scam auctions?
<< <i>Just report it to Ebay. Do you realize how many auctions Ebay has going at any one time and how many scammers and crooks are out there? I think Ebay does the best they can given the tens of thousands of cheats out there. >> I was going to say, "And the phone company should keep scammers from calling me on the phone"… -
Another Keyword Spammer Trying to swindle on PCGS' Name
From the auction Linked here. This is the text...what a slime ball. These are 2003-S Silver State quarters. They have been graded PR70DCAM by PCI. I say "PCGS grade" because these coins have NOT, I repeat NOT, been circulated. These coins will have value around $8000(combined) once PCGS gets their hands on a few of these.… -
Re: 1955 Topps Roberto Clemente PSA 8; Fraud To The Nth Degree!!
<< <i>"There isn't too much ANYONE is going to do to stop the scammers." //////////////////////////////////////////////// Security-Grade flips would help. Mag-Tape and a metalic HoloGram would be a good step. Just because it is difficult to make a process secure, is not a good reason to avoid the effort. Under the current… -
Re: Is this really ebay's recommendation?

Re: where on Earth is she getting all these Pre Hobby Protection Act counterfeit coins from?

What I find interesting is how the scammers are more protected that honest decent people. It's sort of a criminal has all the rights and a law abiding citizen has none. They can pretty much do anything they want and nothing will really happen to them. The law enforcement people are only interested in things in their local… -
Re: Ebay authenticity question
As someone who has sent a few hundred cards through the authentication program, there are no good reasons to bypass the authentication program - except for maybe getting the card a couple days faster - but the benefits outweigh the time factor. As a seller, you are protected against scammer buyers saying they got a… -
Re: eBay fake PSA slab scam story
<< <i>I guess I have to ask--forgive my ignorance, but just for my future reference: I understand how the scammer is using other Ebay sellers as strawpeople to scam buyers, but exactly what is the scam? Is the idea that he will collect the $6,000 cash from Paypal before the buyer disputes the transaction, leaving Paypal to… -
Re: Is there a new circle of trust?
<< <i>Isn't this whole forum practically a circle of trust? I've never been to another forum where the majority of members are comfortable sending PayPal money or items in trade to unknown persons on the other side. >> While this is mostly true, there have been a number of scammers or would be scammers on BST. Some of the… -
Re: Little saddened..........please read. EBAY
<< <i>+1 for attempting to fuel the drama. >> No attempt needed. It's not like snorto is a reputable poster or anything. Snorto's scans clearly showed the holder was already broken. Blaming USPS is nothing more than an attempted diversion and he's now trying to cover his tracks. Additionally, everyone knows swapping miscut…
