Mark, Hi. Nice to hear from you too. as a matter of fact, the last PR70 Washington with milk spots that I had I did try to return to PCGS for the guarantee. But this was the "infamous" PR70 that was stolen by a postal employee in Orange County and turned up in an auction on the east coast. a member of the registry forum… -

The interesting thing is that you have a rare milkspotted silver eagle 1998 in the OGP. Most milkspotted eagles are slabbed.--Jerry -

From Florida, to Washington, humidity, temperature etc... NO milkspotting, always kept at home. Have not heard anything yet that attributes milkspotting to any one thing. Cheers, RickO -

It seems they can strike at any time. Sometimes, they can go from someone who never had the milkspots and then someone else gets the SAE (different environment) and a milkspot appears..... -

i see no reason not to grade 70 if it deserves it. its obvious it did not get a 70 WITH milkspots. if you saw a MS70 with milkspots common sense tells you it turned in the holder. just my 2 cents. -

Every single one I have is riddled with milkspots. And milkspots typically don't dip off. So must take something close to a miracle to get an MS70. -

db: I think that was a tongue-in-cheek way of saying "expect milkspots." BTW, I thought only proof coins could get milkspots? Can MS coins get them too?
