Re: eBay seller advice needed
not much activity one feedback he already left said “item never shipped” responded back “…so i can get a refund” w/o offering to wait a lil more all screams scammer to me. do not refund or even offer. let him open the case. stick to your guns. what most likely will happen is that ebay will refund him outta your account and… -
Re: Who owns it?
I saw the messages left by @PwrHsePro and @1tommy on my mercury dime set, but it was too late to do anything about. The dime in question was already "sold". The fraudulent seller had 2 other listings. I contacted ebay and reported on the listings, but they still sold. The $6100.00 was one of them. What else can a guy do? I… -
Re: This is the first counterfeit slab with CAC sticker I have seen
this was my first thought. now is expressed a weakness in the sticker game. how do you tie any green bean to any coin when the slabs may be "professionally" opened and then resealed? i won't comment further to not give any scammers reading and good tips. i'm sure the big wigs have discussed many scenarios like this. are we… -

Re: A ebay bidder to block
<< <i>What are "unauthorized funds"? >> That is when a scammer funds his purchase with non-existent funds - usually through a bank account. If Cdan12 checks his PP page with the buyer's confirmed address, it is likely the the transaction is not covered by the 'seller protection policy'. In order for a reimbursement in… -
Re: New paypal scam
If I was a scammer, I would take the time to make sure my phishing e-mails were put together flawlessly. Even if you weren't aware of the way these guys try to scam people, it seems like a dead giveaway when you read an e-mail from what is supposed to be a big-time company and they don't know that there should be a period… -

Re: Georgia man charged with $180,000 Ebay fraud involving 1 oz. American eagle coins
How could he stay current on ebaY if he was scamming that much? I mean, I know ebaY doesn't ever NARU the right people at the right time, but $180,000 worth? They came after me and shut down my auctions because I use "Zippo-like" in the text of one lighter auction. I don't get how he could have gone so long. Sounds like… -
Re: Just sold $9000 worth of coins to a new ebay user...
Just on the name of the winners Ebay ID, I would put the odds at 70% scam. It is the kind of name sock puppets and phishers tend to use. Kind of generic, but not overly generic. Common names, yet unusual in that first and last name combination. I'm sure lots of folks with common names are honest, unfortunately, scammers… -
Re: "Professional" grading service certifies rare proof nickels
<< <i>How come 90% of these sleazes are in Fla? >> Because there's so many old geezers here in Florida... I mean... I doubt these guys set-up only to rip people off online... I bet they get more of their business ripping off little old ladies with a storefront... it would be interesting to see if there are any trends on…
