Re: Why highlight "estate" or "estate collection" in auction titles?

For the rest of my life, whenever I see "estate auction", I will forever think of the Savanna Scammers, Pam and Jim Donelly. PJD1966 and all their various alt IDs including the currently operating "Estate Doctor" are the scum of the earth. Just this last weekend they took some poor fool for 5K with that copper plated '43… -
Re: What would you do with this ebay coin buyer? Part 2

This guy sounds like a scammer so if you tell him you will pay the dealer he will probably tell you ok and use his neighbor or a friend as the dealer. If the coin is not that expensive and you can live without the sale for now I would go the refund route but I would not give that refund until I had the coin back in hand… -

Re: Another b.s story
a couple points to make , he is selling a bunch of other fleer basketball cards and some other cards from that era. he also takes paypal which you can get a refund if it is fake and he doesn't refund himself. most of the out of country scammers don't take any payment except fake escrow. that all said, I would never buy a… -
Re: September 11 coins a "fraud," Spitzer Seeks Injunction

Hi, I’ve seen their commercials on late night TV… they make the coin vault look legitimate! They are absolutely misleading and running a scam… you cannot say “minted from pure .999% silver” and have the coins be plated … and you cannot say they are government issue, when they are not. Hopefully these scammers will end up… -
Re: Raw Coins Sold With PCGS Labels
I have known several collectors who will only purchase coins that have been slabbed for their collections. Only then to break them out and putt them in folders, capital plastic holders, etc. However, if I was intrested in a coin that was supposedly slabbed previously, I would still consider it as being RAW as far as I was… -
Re: Does anyone know where I might be able to sell this gold or how much to sell it for?
You cannot imagine how many scams and scammers we have on this board. We are a public board so anyone that wants can come, join and offer to sell. We members are a pretty tight community for that exact reason. That is why I suggested you get them authenticated by PCGS, NGC, ANACS or ICG first before attempting to sell. You… -
Re: Item delivered after case opened question
<< <i>If the item was delivered outside of the "expected delivery date," then ebay cannot help >> Wait, you mean to tell me if an item gets delivered to a buyer after "eBay's expected delivery date" has passed they won't automatically reverse a decision on a case? We all know those delivery date times are a friggin joke,… -
Re: Black NGC holders are back
Personally, I think this is not a very well thought idea which smacks of an attempt to lure submitters. Sure, the black insert was pretty cool but the bottom line is that its only desireable because there just are not that many coins in the black holders any longer. To Flood the Market with "new" black holders (look at the… -
Re: problem with a 1986 fleer jordan (rc), need help!!! also how to get wax off the back of1986 fleer ba
<< <i>Many of the screw down holders from the 80's and 90's contained PVC in them. The chemicals can often react and discolor the card over long periods of time. You might want to lightly try rubbing the shiny part with the pantyhose. I am afraid to say if that doesn't work you might be SOL. Eitherway, I would definitely…
