Good point, Barry. I am a long-time subscriber to Coin World but, you're right, some of their large advertisers are as bad as the scammers on FleaBay. (You think they will quote that?). -

Certainly looks to me like of those "professional" ebay scammers who has a new ebay ID. The wording and style of the auction is way too slick for a new ebayer. -

When auctioning off an expensive item, I usually just change my ebay id to something intimidating to scare off would be scammers. i_stalk_and_kill is an old favorite... -

BCCG did not slab the card - or any of the cards he has sold or is selling. They are counterfeit slabs, BCCG labels, and cards. Unfortunately there are scammers who are counterfeiting all grading company's holders now. -

He's a scammer and unfortunately ebay leans way to the buyers side. Innocent until proven guilty; ebay goes with guilty as long as the buyer says so. Sorry for your loss, that's a sizable hit. -

It would also help out the scammers to get some good fakes or reprints graded and holdered. You would still need a human to inspect the card, which would really defeat the purpose. -
