Re: Excited to Join the Collectors Universe Community – My First US Coin Adventure!
I also received a message from proud_kaka back on September 6: Hey! Noticed your post about needing Pauls Valley NB, Pauls Valley, Oklahoma, Charter 7892, Series 1902, Value/Plain/Date Backs. A contact named Eric mentioned he has it. You can email him at ericvincent039@gmail.com. Just passing along the lead—hope it helps!… -
Re: is this 33 Ruth authentic?
<< <i>Sorry I edited my original reply a couple above this after seeing the description saying "unknown" I know that is a big "red flag" on eBay, when I first posted on the R319 I just looked at the card and the wear. The R319 Ruth is not a reprint, the R319 reprints will have 1 or more characteristics that are slightly… -
Re: Another Paypal Scam Email
I've rec'd those kinds many times and was addressed to my real name. The scam I got was I paid for an Ipod and to be sent to unconfirmed address in Texas. There's a link to dispute the payment. Re: I simply don't understand their reasoning. Are so many this dumb?

The uneducated see these listing and think their close to worthless culls are worth ridiculous sums because others are listed on eBay in the same poor condition for moon… -

Re: Just Threw a Telemarketer for a Loop
I often have a lot of fun with telemarketers and scammers. I just take what they say and run with it...'Silver Eagles?' Naw ain't never seen one of them birds around here but then again we live too far south and are out of the migratory patterns for them. The come up from South America in the spring along with the hawks.… -
Re: In Which Decade was Coin Collecting at its Finest?
As others have said, it depends. When I started collecting coins in the early 1960s, you could find about anything in change, because they had not yet stopped making silver dimes, quarters and half dollars. Coins circulated. I found most non key Lincoln Cents, Buffalo Nickels, Mercury Dimes in change. In the mid to late… -
Re: eBay auction
I agree. I'm not saying that the seller was smart or likely to succeed. Although I can't read the seller's intentions, I can read between the lines, and the listing had red flags all over it: a) seller lists a raw coin, but describes it as certified - scammers do this all the time so that they can price a raw coin as high… -
