Re: A 53 Mantle over $1000???
<<< This is an Original 1953 Mickey Mantle Topps card # 82. I've had this card for over 10 years. I've been to many card shows and have had the card checked out and all of them said that this card is an authentic original mickey mantle card and is worth well over 4,000$. Tuff Stuff Beckett priced this card as well for… -
Re: Pointers and encouraging updates on : Reporting violations of rare coin listings to Ebay and the ANA

Hi everyone, I've been following our Savannah Scammer buddy for some time now. Every day I check the auctions that she has listed and report any that are in blatant violation and research the rest. I saw the post she made on that other forum. It was a forum that I used to be very active on. She never did get the balls to… -
Scans stolen from the registry
Several times in the last year or so, I've learned to my surprise that my cards were being sold on eBay -- without my knowledge. The scans were stolen from my registry sets. I learned about one of them when PSA asked me to remove a Clemente rookie from my set because someone else was trying to register it. Poor guy had… -
Re: How to buy safely on ebay
Gosh. Don't bid on any auction that does not have a clear return policy. This disqualifies alot of auctions. Don't bid on any auction that has cr@ppy pictures and does not clearly represent the product. This avoids scammers who are hiding problems. Don't bid on any auction that is too good to be true. This is a good… -
Re: Real Or Not Real?
@blurryface Nothing wrong with calling out scammers for what they are, and why should you be nice to the ***holes that are trying rip people off. I've found some great deals on facebook and craigslist in the past, but not since the recent boom in prices. Also I'm amazed people would trust anyone on facebook with raw cards… -
Re: I think I bit on this ebay spoof email
Even if you did get taken, you're fine since you changed your password. I juggle too many things sometimes and with one kid screaming into each ear while I was preparing supper and concurrently trying to reply to the day's e-mails one evening I logged into a spoof site. I immediately realized what I had done. Now it was a… -
Re: ASE Set Follow-Up Question (As of 5/8/2006): How Many Would Purchase today at $450?
Ran into a scammer for 20th sets @ 4450 each 7 available. At least I assume he/she is a scammer. Found them on craigslist. Only emails at like 5 a.m. in the morning. After trading 1 email a day for several days, I asked for a phone number to speed things up. They provide me with some crazy like this: Yes. This is my cell… -
Re: USA concept dollars stolen in France UPDATE - sighted on eBay !
<< <i>I would think if you had opened any kind of police report you could notify ebay that it's stolen property. That IS against their rules. I would guess this isn't the guy who did the scamming--too blatant! So how do you report an international theft anyway???? Cathy >> I know other people have been working to bust the… -
Re: Just neg'ed a newbie
I think in the minds of these jackasses that they probably think that maybe, just maybe by "accident" the merchandise could be shipped out since they ordered it, then of course they wouldn't pay for it. Really they've got nothing to lose, they can simply close that account or wait to be naru'd, and then simply open up… -
Re: Facebook Group: U.S. Coin and Paper Money, Question about some prices to good to be true...
That's probably a scam group, there are a ton of them where all the moderators and admins are fake accounts from Cameroon and they try to trick people into sending them money, stay away. Any fully public coin group on Facebook is not trustworthy, the good groups are private (have to apply and get approved by admins to gain…
