Info on Hazy American Silver Eagles
I was wondering about the American silver eagle series and how/why some dates seem to develop a haze over time. As I understand it, some dates are more apt to have it occur than others... In particular the 1996. Also, Is it the same thing as the milk spots showing up on the 20th anniversary pieces. Does it affect the grade… -

I see no reason to puchase MS70 bullion rounds, except for maybe registry guys. Got caught up in it a few years back, n learned my lesson.(milk spots, tv huckster hype) RP ASE I'll give ya some slack, otherwise just buy 69's if you must buy slabbed. Stick with PCGS, or just buy a tube, JMHO. -

If you want just one or maybe a few for albums, go to your local coin shop and pick the one you want for a fair price. Generally you can get very fair prices on these at the shop. If you're looking for a roll, try to get one sealed otherwise you may get a "junk" roll with milk-spotted, nicked up coins that Ebay makes it so… -

I did a random search of five SAE's from my four shipments, 19 coins are Fine one had a little brush against the breast , gotta tilt the coin to see it. So 19 out of 20 Thumbs ups 1 minor blemish. Guess the mint likes me ... Not even gonna check the other 80 my sample doesn't warrant it. Not one milk spot woo hoo
