Maybe I am all wet here but these are just a couple of thoughts. The PCGS registries have enhanced the value of thier product IMO. It was discussed and agreed that adding new sets took priority over wighting them. Hopefully as we get further down the list on sets, PSA will see fit to start weighting the sets that have been on the Registry for awhile. -

Yes, that is correct. Currently, there are 415 participants in the 50 coin Registry sets vs. 137 in the 144 coin Registry sets. And already 36 vs. 9 in CAC sets. My recent Grant vs. Grant Star survey showed 20 board members favored giving additional weight vs. 12 favoring equal weight. Couldn't there be room for both… -

You are correct. Those rumblings, if I remember correctly, were concerning a discussion of weighting, specifically, pcgs vs. ngc weights, and those of pop.1 coins. Poll on Postwar HOF Rookies set registry
I wrote to BJ Searles about qualifying 1949 Bowman #220 as one of Satchell Paige's rookie cards. Currently only 1949 Leaf #8 is recognized as such in this registry set.
