>Too many people have reported milk spots on all grades of SAEs. Sp PCGS decided to "Just Say No" to MS-70s. I would hope this wasn't true, if it is then why use PCGS if they already have there mind made up that there will be no MS70's -

Very nice coins, no marks or milk spots. One would go 69 as there are 2 breaks in the satin finish probably from other coins hitting it, the other looks perfect.........................Rick Current coins up on EBAY -

Just because they are in original packaging doesn’t mean they will grade 70 / flawless. They might grade 69. They might have milk spots. And as pointed out they are super common. If there is one you really like then have t it but I usually focus on coins that are 50 years or older -

If the rolls are all milk spotted, they would have almost no numismatic premium. If they are all pristine gems (MS 69+), it's a bargain.I should note that raw 96s are going for between $35-$50 on ebay. To get the most bang for the buck you gotta slab 'em. -

I like Silver Eagles, though they tone and develop milk spots. Hence, they are not for me to collect. From an investment point of view, 90% and JM/Engelhard struck bars - better if sealed - are always liquid (at least in the US, not so in Europe). Just my 2¢. -

With this series, it seems as though anything that could possibly go wrong, did; from the initial specs to the resulting production difficulties to the inevitable distribution problems. Add to that a grading learning curve, milk spots, and a healthy dose of greed, and it's no wonder they were just a flash in the pan. -
