Re: Your First PSA card
Neat thread. 1957 Topps Willie Mays PSA 8 NQ. Purchased in the early fall of 1997 from Ric Chandgie's Piedmont Cards. I paid $450 for it, which was really strong for the market at the time. The card was fantastic. It qualified (cross-over) to SGC 92 and I never did cross it. I sold it last year to a '57 set builder for… -

Re: Sheffield..Bonds..& BALCO....
Great story...yours is much "meatier" than the one I found on FoxSports. You will never see stories like this on MLB.com. They do a great job of acting like this is not an issue. Don't want anyone raining on the parade they have planned to celebrate Bond's 756th HR. Bonds is a crook, cheater, and an as*hole. Plain and… -
Re: 2007 W ASE Uncirculated - Grading PCGS or NGC - Interesting
Gotta agree with you on this one boucharda but I'd like to see more camparisons. Plus, the NGC coin had 24 bids with 14 bidders compared to the PCGS coin at only 5 bids. Additionally, we're looking at a 20th Anniversary coin and not a run of the mill 2006-W which typically bring lower prices than the 20th Anniversary… -
Re: Research questions for Matte Proof Lincoln collectors
<< <i> but I looked at the MPL's tonight (man, I love them!) and it's on 1910-1916, and not on the 1909 or 1909vdb. >> Doug, THAT statement by you tells me that Duane's discovery of the "reverse C" diagnostic has wings. I only saw it on my 1913 which is red. My other MPL's are all rb and I figure that may effect… -

Re: Official HOME PARK helping batters thread...FENWAY, RICE, BOGGS...
How about Coors? If you look on baseballreference, the ballpark adjustment is expressed with 100 being average....over 100 favorable towards hitters, below towards pitchers. THe farther from 100, the more extreme. Most parks are within a couple of 100, and Fenway was usually in the area of 105, with high marks of 112, and…
