A simple solution to this PCGS not grading ASEs MS 70 problem, is for them to grade them correctly, with a proviso, that they are not responsible for milk spots. -

I agree with Rampage, it looks like a "milk" spot. The O retained a droplet of the cleaning solution they used on the coin after striking. -

Too flaky for me. (Although they might go well with my state quarter spoons.) Also, aren't they likely to develop milk spots? -

I think it had to do with milk-spotting & a subsequent "relaxation" of grading/buy back policy. Right? edited to add: "/buy back". -

Another example of Dansco toning. The coin was blast white, then a few years later, ringed toned ASE. Yeah, thats a milk spot. -

Glad I got some. Now all I have to do is unload them before the milk spots start showing up
