Re: Hypothetical 2025 coin investment- What is the best bang for your buck in the current market.
I don't mean to hijack this thread, but for those who collected coins during the Great Financial Crisis (GFC) of 2008-2009, what happened to coin values? The GFC caused prices to fall across multiple asset classes, such as equities, real estate and all sorts of derivative products. A large percentage of the population was… -
Re: Finding a rare coin after the fact after purchasing a collection. Customer recourse?

"Let the law be your guide. If both parties do a transaction under a false assumption, the sale can be voided. Lets say that I bought a painting from you for $50. Neither you, nor I, knew there was a valuable painting beneath that painting. Then the seller could get it back in court because it was a mistake. But the odd… -
Re: OT: Trimmed, miscut, not-holdered, etc.
toppsgun - have you ever submitted a card to PSA that was rejected for Evidence of Trimming? If so, what did you do with that card after receiving it back from PSA? I have seen dozens of posts by members on this board that they received rejections for cards they pulled from packs themselves. Unless each and every one of… -
Re: Should a grading co. Inform a submitter that they sent in an obvious error coin?
You are not making any sense and your thread title is false. If you knew/know you have an error what good would it do you to have a TPG notify you of what you already know? Again, the onus is on you or in this case your agent (the dealer) to fill out the paperwork correctly, the TPG is not at fault because you or your… -

Re: "Counterfeits", "Imitation Numismatic Items", the HPA/CCPA, and the collecting/s
<< <i>... In a legal sense, an actual counterfeit coin/note is an imitation produced for the purpose of use in commerce. They are made to be spent as if genuine. An imitation that is made to be sold to a collector at a premium over face value is legally *not* a counterfeit and actual anti-counterfeiting laws have not been… -
Re: Does ebay allow a seller to withhold sending a refund until the buyer leaves positive feedback? Prob

Personally, I believe you should do the following: 1) Notify the seller of his responsibility to abide by his written and ammended agreements with you. 2) Notify the seller that if he refuses to (without further obligation in the matter), then you will do the following: a) Report his activities to eBay inclusive of false… -
Re: MLB to add Negro League statistics to the official record.
Instead of "woke", what word would you like others to use to describe arguments relying on false assumptions which are intended to promote a gender or race driven political agenda? And you used the word "competitive" incorrectly. In order for someone to use the word "woke" in lieu of "competitive" thoughts, it must be in… -
Re: What were your worst show experiences?
This post was from a similar thread a few years ago. My worst experience at a show was actually a stamp show. When I was about 16 I went to a stamp show with two friends of mine. I was sitting there looking at stamps when there was a tap on my shoulder from behind. I turned around and a security guard said "get up !". He… -
Re: Are there less "let it ride" auctions than ever?
I feel the main problem is not ebay or any of the selling venues, but rather the unrealistic speculitive buying by people who's only purpose in the hobby is trying to profit by flipping cards. I think many of the "true Collectors" have completed many of their desired sets and are now removed from the Supply and Demand…
