Re: J.K. Lilly Gold Coin Collection
This doesn't ring true to me. Areas I would investigate: * Did Kleeberg say not one thing about false gold prior to his separation from ANS? I doubt it. Did the ANS enforce any "muzzle order" against its curators on this point? Very hard for me to believe. If ANS has anything, it is academic integrity. * Regarding the… -
Re: Thanks to John Nanney's Discovery, 2008 ASE's with 2007 reverse going through the roof
Dice21 is a CROOK and a SCAM ARTIST, as this is the tactic used to sell shotgun rolls of cents where one side has a 1909S date showing and the other side has a VDB reverse. We know the result. It always ends up with a buyer who bids an auction up on a false hope. That's right. False hope. That is a scam by my definition… -
Re: 365 Days of Golf Cards September 25th - 1914 Marsumas - last day!
Day #2 Thanks for all the early responses. By the way, you don't have to PM me if you simply respond here, you are in the competition for the first free drawing of the year. I see Scott has chimed in early. He is also another guy from the golf community. Maybe we can get a few more of the "old guard" here as well. My first… -
Re: 1975 Topps Standard Vs. Mini
Minis are something of the red headed step child of the 70s, but the folks who love em, are extremely passionate about them. Mini's historically did carry a premium and I believe will again and are well along the road there now. Mini's were incredibly strong 5 years ago with common 8s bringing $10 per. Low pop 9s were… -

Re: ...and the WINNER is..........the 'Dedicated And Devoted' D~A~D
Stepdad is still a dad. It just takes an extra "step". :) I'm a pet dad. This will be the first year without my companion animal. He was old, losing his hearing and sight, and was an ornery old man for his age. Big old cat. Had no idea he was going to be 20lbs with a body as long as my leg. Big daddy had a big boy.… -
Re: When did the mint start stamping VDB under Lincoln?
Perhaps RWB could fill us in on the specific details. As requested - A Short Version: Addition (Apr-May 1909) Mint director offered to permit Brenner to put his initials on the reverse. Instead, Brenner played stupid and put “Brenner” on the lower reverse at the rim. Director Leach asked him again, but Brenner didn’t…
