In a specialized world like coin book selling, what percentage of the books enter the remainder mark
I was out selling raffle tickets for my local Lions Club yesterday (a nice 1966 Mustang is in the offing), and I spent about 4 hours with a fellow member. This person is a retired paper executive, and he rose up in the company through the sales organization. He was extremely interesting to talk to, as he regaled me with… -
So I was playing golf at Baltusrol yesterday, when the subject of coins and precious metals came up…
Yesterday, The Man and I traveled to what seemed like a foreign country (New Jersey ), and played a round of golf at historic Baltusrol Golf Club. Wanting to be common folk, we decided that I would drive, and after Longacre took a wrong turn off of I-78 and ended up in downtown Newark , we quickly scurried back to the… -

The latter two considerations can make up (even in terms of profits) for grading fewer… -
Re: If the hobby "adopted" a new decimal grading standard, or 100 pt scale, would you resubmit
I kind of agree that a 100 point system would be good. The only way that I can see it happening is if a new grading company enters the picture with this new grading system and proves themselves right upfront. I'm not sure how that would happen, but I'm not starting a company so I haven't had to think about it. The only way… -
Re: Is this unusual for a PCGS submittal?
I can think of roughly 208 million things that irritate me more. Especially as they did answer your question. You asked "Can you please look into this order and advise." They looked into your order and reported the estimated grading time you selected and the current number of days. It seems like you meant to ask why… -
