Re: My 3 cents worth
Bruce: Congratulations on the nice pick up! Well done! It is lucky for collectors that the coronet 3 cent design is still relatively "cool" and not a design "on fire" like some other series out there. Where it has been a great benefit for me personally is in picking up a great many coronet design pattern nickels at… -
US plate blocks galore for trade for singles
For those of you who follow the Stamp boards, you are probably familiar with my inheritance and figuring out what to do with it. So at long last is the list of plate blocks I have. Below is the list. What I hope to do, with your help, is to trade the plate blocks for singles of the same era/value that will go into the… -

Re: The Hardcastle Collection

Sorry, should have said R41 and not KH41. This one was a Peck 1050, his R41 Taylor restrike listed on p.285 in the second edition. In the book it is rated as EXR, which I think he implied means only 2 or 3 known. He only listed his own piece (which passed as part of his Soho collection to Birmingham Museum in lieu of death… -

As the title of the 'plate block' posting suggests, I have many, many plate blocks to trade, but I also have singles and sheets to trade for those same stamps (in most cases). PM me if you have anything I need: (Dave -… -

Re: How are the MLB Showdown cards listed in the SCD Catalog?
<< <i>They're listed beginning on page 1060 in my copy of the 2007 edition of the Standard Catalog. Steve >> No wonder I couldn't find it! In my book, pages 1057 to 1056 are out of order! 1057 to 1056 starts right after 1008. Then after 1056, it goes to 1105. Thanks. I would have never noticed were it not for the page… -
