Re: 9 OC A good value?
There are several 1950's cards Kaline cards that I buy in 9 OC. Generally I feel comfortable at the PSA 7 range, but have paid as high as the average of PSA 7 and PSA 8. The last one that I bought was a 1956 Kaline for $165 where Psa 7 was $90; PSA 8 was $260. I know that SMR is only a guide, however, I have yet to see a… -

Re: Another Barber dime grade guess....bought this an hour ago for sheet ask!
MS63/64 Barber dimes have not been particularly strong the past few years, same goes for the current market. It's not hard to find these in the "bid" to "ask" range. 3 weeks ago I piced up a dipped but blasty rattler MS64+ Barber that was pretty close to 65 shot money for $260 ("ask"). And even at that level I'm not sure… -
Re: Official NFL HOF autograph set thread???
Well, you can thank me on the Lyman. I probably should have stopped, but I went after it a bit too hard. Lol. Also got the Guyon. Not sure how I did on it really. I also went after the Henry, but after talking to Derrick, the tape scared me. Would hate to watch it disappear over time. Guess I should have at that price… -
Re: What is your best ebay "find" ?
Bought a Star Wars framed and matted cast cut autograph display for $170, item was a BIN at $350, with 12 watchers. I took the chance. The big risk was that the cards would be completely glued to the backing board. Thankfully, it was framed properly. Fisher and Hamill were Secretarial, tossed them Sold the rest for;… -
Re: Question for the modern coin market makers or breakers.
I like mods as a quasi bullion investment and have around 200 pieces in my bank box as investment (Silver Dollars and Gold coins). I recently purchased a few MS 70 $5 2013 AGE's from Apmex for around $157 each. The CU price guide lists them at $260, not a bad deal. I also liked their 2013 PCGS 69 ASE's at $33.12 which is… -
Re: Why do bidders do this?
I've made mistakes with bids on occasion. One time I wanted to bid $260 on a lot, but somehow managed to add an extra "0" which made it $2,600. Fortunately no one bid the piece, and I got for a price I intended to pay. On another occasion I bid on the wrong lot a couple of weeks before a lot was scheduled to close. I… -

Re: OT - Who's going to the US Open? - CRAZY rules
The cell phones weren't the problem this weekend - it was the drunk a-holes that thought they were part of the show by yelling inane things right after a golfer swings. If you're going to be a jackass, at least be creative - like the guy who yelled "Nice layup" to Colsearts after he hit an iron on the 260 yd 7th hole on… -
